As a Death Doula, I conduct online and personal support sessions for patients and their relatives to improve the spiritual, emotional, physical, and mental well-being of people with cancer and other terminal illnesses who remain in hospices, nursing homes, and hospitals.
Patients and their families experience significant stress, anxiety, self-doubt, and helplessness, which leads to deep depression and a lack of communication.
Support sessions address these issues with the patient and their families.
Our sessions can find the answer to any spiritual question and give more peace, hope, and confidence to our clients and their families.
Our spiritual sessions may consist of the following:
The joint reading of spiritual literature (Torah, Koran, Bible, Bhagavad-Gita, etc.), watching sacred videos, email, audio, video discussing Scripture, poetry or any other inspiring literature, listening to religious and spiritual music, joint prayer or meditation and Reiki classes, joint conversations about God, visiting a church or synagogue and visiting support groups.
Inspired to live - these essential resources can help patients and their relatives return to a sense of balance instead of depression when their lives have been turned upside down.
We can help people to understand the most important issues in order to find meaning, comfort, hope, kindness, and community in such a crisis of life and death.
We can also help our patients develop spiritual practices that will help them to be in a state of well-being and peace of mind in everyday life. Spiritual practice may include prayer, meditation, Reiki, yoga, singing and other practices that will help our patients find inner harmony and peace.
Our work can help our patients survive difficult times in life, such as the loss of a loved one, divorce, illness or other life crises. We can become a support in such moments and help our patients find meaning in their lives, regardless of what difficulties they are experiencing.
